UK Managing Director and UK Finance Director searches 

Careium is a Swedish Nasdaq listed, market leading provider of Technology Enabled Care. While the business (formerly known as Doro Care) is well established in the Nordics, the UK business has grown rapidly through multiple acquisitions over a short time period. Stanley Royce Jones partnered with Careium to appoint an experienced UK Managing Director with the capability to integrate these acquisitions and create a unified culture. 

We conducted a comprehensive search process across the healthcare sector with a real focus on expertise in business transformation and integration. We particularly targeted candidates from businesses of comparable size to Careium, who not only had the gravitas and strategic capability needed, but who still also enjoyed hands-on operational delivery. After a thorough interview process Careium appointed Paul Goodrich, Managing Director of Healthwork, a business that had also recently gone through a period of significant integration and was of similar scale. Paul also brought with him the benefit of the structure, process and scale gained from his early career with Bupa, BP and Shell, as well as an invaluable insight into the NHS, from his period as Managing Director of the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Trust. 

Due to the success of Paul’s appointed as UK Managing Director, we then supported him and the  Swedish Group CFO with the appointment of a UK Finance Director. We considered a broad range of candidates not just within healthcare but also complementary sectors, with a focus on finance leaders who have turned around businesses in very challenging situations. Andy Haslam was appointed, a turnaround specialist, with a breadth of experience from multiple sectors and over a decades experience at CFO/Finance Director level. The UK business has been transformed under Paul’s and Andy’s leadership in under a year and has an exciting future growth trajectory.
