The Gym Group are the lowest cost nationwide 24/7 Gym with c250 sites and still rapidly expanding. Their mission is to break down barriers to fitness for everyone in the UK, providing top-quality gyms and expert advice at affordable prices. They want to make sure that absolutely everyone feels welcome, whether a first time gym user at the very start of their wellness journey or someone looking to achieve a new personal best. All their gyms have high spec kit, plus a timetable packed full of free exercise classes that can be used as often as their members like.

We were briefed by their Chief Technology Officer and Chief People Officer to appoint a visionary Director of Digital Product who could define the product vision, identify market opportunities, drive innovation and support the entire digital product lifecycle. They needed a strategic leader, who could operate at board level, enable collaboration with all functions across the organisation and align product strategy with the organisation’s goals and market needs. We conducted an extensive search process, identifying digital product experts from a range of sectors, including, tech, telecoms, travel and retail.

The Gym Group appointed Laura Gilson who has an exceptional digital product background and rapid career trajectory from the utilities and telecommunications industries.
